In this three part video series on Cross-Examining an Expert, Nick Rowley demonstrates his approach to performing a cross-examination. With help from Dr. David Fish, he shows how he introduces the expert to the jury, how he gets in the cage with the tiger, brings him out and puts his arm around him (even when it's the defense expert). Because even though the defense expert might seem like someone we want to destroy, Nick recommends not being afraid of him and instead using love, compassion and kindness. Nick also shows how to connect with the jury and how to be mindful of what they may be feeling. He emphasizes never having an agenda or trying to manipulate the jury. During the presentation he allows participants to try out a cross-examination on Dr. Fish and provides tips and advice along the way.
