Nick demonstrates Brutal Honesty with the jury. He emphasizes that jury selection is the most important part of the trial and that when doing jury selection you need to be empathetic and start with the mindset of wanting everybody to be on the jury. He discusses how to get past the awkwardness of talking about money for non-economic damages and encourages the students to present the amount early on in the trial versus waiting until the end. He also talks about what to include in the opening statement and the importance of knowing the facts, being organized, practicing, and being confident going into trial.
