The jury trial demonstration continues with a student trying out the Brutal Honesty technique in jury selection. Nick makes sure that he uses the word-for-word cookie cutter technique for Brutal Honesty. Nick teaches how to set the tone and rhythm of communication with the jury and shows how to capture the attention of everyone in the courtroom in order for them to receive what you are saying. He also teaches the students how to get jurors to speak without verbally asking them to do so and discusses the importance of allowing a juror’s response to hang for a while without reacting to it right away.
